International Women’s Day 2021: A Step Towards Women Empowerment.

8^th March, celebrated as International Women’s Day is marked as a day of celebration and advocacy for swomen’s rights and equality worldwide.  2020 and 2021 reflected the achievements women accomplished in different spheres of life.  Countries with women leaders like New Zealand, Germany, and Bangladesh received global praise for how they effectively handled the COVID-19 pandemic.  Kamala Harris raised the bar by becoming the first female Black and South Asian American Vice President of the USA.

These examples represent how society has created a more inclusive and equitable environment for all the wonderful women out there.  Women’s Day offers an opportunity to empower one another, celebrate lady friends and recognize the hard work, sacrifices, and women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements.

This year the theme for International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge.  The theme is all about challenging the status quo by raising awareness against discrimination, celebrating achievements, and taking action for women’s equality. Keeping this theme in mind, Deftsoft celebrated International Women’s Day by showing our commitment to challenging inequality by appreciating women employees’ hard work and diligence throughout the year.

 

Women’s Day was celebrated with great vigor as a step forward to achieve a gender-equal world.   What could be more surprising and blissful than to be welcomed by lovely gifts to make you feel special on the day that is meant for women? Female employees were greeted with lovely wishes and roses to make them feel special and thank them for being a part of the organization.  And, when you thought the celebrations were over, there were delicious treats only for women.

Deftsoft has always taken the initiative to uplift and empower women employees, which is reflected in our Women’s Day celebrations every year.  Women looked their stylish best in western and Indian attires reflecting different cultures and traditions. And, when there are beautiful women on the floor, why not take amazing pictures.

 

At Deftsoft, we know the world to gender parity is a long one. However, we are proud to show our contribution by taking initiatives now and then to make our women employees feel special and recognized at all times.  Looking at the sheer amount of time we spend with our co-workers (women), it is quite evident female employees have become an essential part of our lives, and to reflect our love and appreciation for them; we celebrate Women’s Day in full swing every year. 

 

The male members of the Deftsoft family took part in the Women’s Day initiatives wholeheartedly to show their support for creating a gender-neutral environment.  We believe one day is not sufficient to celebrate and appreciate our female employees’ hard work and talent. Although the celebrations for the day came to an end on a blissful note, we will strive to work for the upliftment of women every day.
